Week 25: Summertime, and the living is...

Hmm, the living is not quite easy.  But work is definitely quieter.  No complaints there!

Weekly/weekend recap!

Thursday, June 12

After I updated the blog, I got busy working on something I saw on pinterest: a dum-dum tree!  The weekend before I saw this huge bag of dum-dums on sale, so I thought why not try it out.  Turned out pretty awesome!  There aren't many students around to enjoy it, but hey, that means it will last longer.

Friday, June 13

I really think there is something to a full moon that coincides with Friday the 13th.  There were a lot of crazy people out, especially crazy drivers.  But I survived.  It was Leif's last day of care by my friend Angela, and she snapped this photo for me.

After work, Leif and I played on his blanket for a while.  He is so flexible, love how he sucks on his toes!  And his interest in Miles has grown exponentially; he watches him around the room, and tries to touch him.  I snapped some cute photos of Miles and Leif both sucking/chewing on their toys.

Saturday, June 14

Leif woke us up super early again, and I just couldn't handle it Saturday morning.  We all migrated to the living room where I immediately passed out on the couch.  Thankful for the hubs who watched Leif while I was out...I awoke frantically almost two hours later thinking I left Leif in his exersaucer the whole time.  But of course hubs had already rocked him to sleep and Leif was down for a nap.  Phew.  I don't know what I'd do without him.

Once we had breakfast we took Miles to the dog park; little did we know they were having a "Touch A Truck" event at the park.  We had to park way far away from the dog park which was good for us, since we got a good walk in.  It was already hot at 10:30am, so we didn't stay too long at the park, but long enough for Miles to get some exercise in!  After that, we really didn't do much except lounge around the apartment.  Lazy Saturday!

My cool boys

Leif loves being on his daddy's shoulders!
 Sunday, June 15

Again, I don't know if I will ever express just how much I appreciate Matt for being a great father.  The BEST!  Yay for Father's Day!  And I love my pa so much, he is absolutely wonderful.  I don't know if I'll ever find someone as patient and loving as my dad.  Yay for dads!

For a dad's day celebration, I took Matt and Leif to Claim Jumper where they have the most AWESOME buffet brunch I've been to.  I think it's better than Salty's in Seattle, and that one is twice as much as the one we went to!  And after that, we watched bad action movies at home.  It was a nice day.
Leif puts everything in his mouth now...
 Monday, June 16

Leif's first day at his new daycare.  He had a blast while work for me was a little on the boring side...
Super cute!
And didn't do much after work except make dinner and get ready for today.  While we ate dinner, Leif was a flipping machine-he loves to roll from back to front now, and does it with ease!
He WAS on the Jungle Mat.  He rolled completely off!
And here we are today.  My goal is to run during lunch today, although it's already warming up!  Argh.  If it's too hot, it's gym time!

And this is how fast time flies...my friend Barbie is getting married in less than two months!  Which means we are flying to New York in less than two months...wow!  And Leif is six months in 10 days!!!  I think this time last year I still didn't know I was pregnant.  But I'm just so delighted with Leif, life is much more fulfilling with him around.
