June 2016

Wednesday, June 1: Ozzie started to enjoy his jungle mat

And since Leif likes the attention too, he joins Ozzie in the jungle as well.

Sunday, June 5: My pa bought Leif this bounce house when he turned 1...he was definitely not old enough to enjoy it then, but we thought it was the right time.  Look how huge it is!  We had it up for a couple days then took it down as Leif didn't really care for it after that.

Tuesday, June 7: They had a voting station at our club house, so I walked over with Ozzie.  I miss our daily walks.  :(

Thursday, June 9: I finally made it to the dollar store to pick up sticky hooks-here are the costumes Nana bought for Leif!  He doesn't wear them as often as I hoped, but he gets a kick out of them still.  His favorite so far is Batman.

Friday, June 10: It was one of my co-workers last day before she transferred to a different CSUN, so I came in with Ozzie to wish her farewell.  Ozzie did pretty good in the car seat again, just a few cries on the way home!

One of the student workers "snap chatted" Ozzie.  He makes a cute puppy, right?

Sunday, June 12: Leif always wants to touch Ozzie's face...

Monday, June 13: Leif and Ozzie had a playdate with my friend Angela's kids!  It was really nice catching up with her.  Leif got to eat pizza there!

And he was so happy to watch Minions with them.  I don't know how she handles three rambunctious kids!
June 14: Ozzie's two month check-up...poor little guy had three shots.  I was so sad to see the blood-I don't remember Leif getting such large shots!  But Ozzie managed through it, so did mommy.  BTW-he was 14 pounds and 25.5 inches-off the charts in height!

Wednesday, June 15: Ozzie enjoying tummy time.

Sunday, June 19: Happy Father's Day!  Made this for Hubs...

and made this for my Pa.
 Monday, June 20

This day deserves a larger date title because we took our first long road trip with Ozzie and Leif to Santa Ana-my brother Avery and his family were in California for vacation and they were at Disneyland that day...which was the hottest day of the year so far-114 degrees!  Our Disney passes expired back in March, and we didn't want to take Ozzie in the heat/spend lots of money, so we took Leif to the Discovery Cube that was close to Anaheim then planned on meeting my brother and his family in Downtown Disney for dinner.  Leif had a really good time!

Daddy and Leif checking out an exhibit about volcanoes.
Daddy helping Leif climb the rock wall...I think Leif will soon be able to do this on his own!

Build your own space shuttle...

Feel what it's like to be in a hurricane!  Leif didn't like this exhibit as much as we did...

We purchased tickets to see "Finding Dory" at their theatre upstairs-Leif's first movie!  He did really well and there were little girls dancing/playing in the front anyway, so it was perfect.
Best family photo we got...not sure what Leif is doing...

There was a Harley Davidson exhibit there...haha.
We managed to take a gander outside (not for too long-it was SO HOT), and they had a whole dino exhibit there.  Leif put this puzzle together with a fraction of help from us...but mostly he did it on his own.  :)

Say dinosaur!
Speaking of dinosaurs...they had this super cool exhibit on live dinosaurs where you could push buttons to make them move.  Of course Leif was a little frightened of most of them, but I had him at least push buttons on a few dinosaurs.

This is his favorite dinosaur now, the Triceratops!
We left around 4:15pm to see my brother Avery and his little family.  It was so nice to catch up with them!
Ari and Hubs...apparently the kids did great in Disneyland despite the heat.
Asher was passed out, but he woke up later.  Here's Amy, she looks amazing!
There was a balloon artist wandering around the restaurant, so  Ari got a unicorn.  Leif was still asleep when he first came, but he woke up later when he came by and got...
a dinosaur!  He loved that balloon dino.
Ozzie liked my brother, but didn't want to be held by anyone else except daddy or me after that.
The weather cooled down to the 70s after dinner (it was refreshing!), so we played outside in  Downtown Disney for a while (Asher got a balloon sword).
So cute!
Daddy held Ozzie for a while.
I wish we all lived closer because Leif had such a fun time playing with his cousins.
Later that evening, Ozzie spending some relax time in his swing.  Aunt Missy made this onesie for him!

Wednesday, June 22: More affection from Leif.

Friday, June 24: Hubs got off work early, so we went to our fave place-Salsa & Beer with Uncle Daryl!  My first margarita in a very long time...
Yay Salsa & Beer!

Friday, June 24: Hubs broke out bubbles that morning-Leif really enjoyed them.

Meanwhile, Ozzie had fun sucking on his panda rattle inside.

Saturday, June 25: We were quite late taking Ozzie's two month photos, but better late than never.  I had to snap one with my phone as well.  He's growing up so fast!

Sunday, June 26: We decided to take Miles to the dog park despite the heat...and ended up staying for only 20 minutes since not many other dogs were there.  Afterwards we dropped him off at PetSmart for a much overdue manicure/pedicure.  It was going to take a while so we grabbed lunch at The Habit and did a quick Target run afterwards.  Leif was super cute.

Thursday, June 30: My last day of maternity leave. Ozzie is super patient with Leif...

Okay, next post: July to now!
